Some Americans celebrate their freedom by waving the flag. Others go to parades. This 4th of July, why not start your celebrating with a run?
The 37th Annual 4th of July 5-Miler is the area’s longest running (pun intended) running event. There’s no cost to enter. Sign-in begins at 7:15am at Glenn Hall Park. The Kids’ Half-Mile starts at 7:45, while the 5-Mile Race begins at 8am.
The run is organized by the Buffalo Chips Running Club, the largest and oldest of its kind in Sacramento. For more info on the run, check out the Buffalo Chips website at http://www.buffalochips.com/358-2/.
