This Tuesday, August 13, the Friends of McKinley Library will hold its annual free ice cream social. Along with frozen treats from Burr’s Fountain, drum and ukulele duo Musical Robot will entertain the kids with their blend of songs, storytelling and puppetry. There will also be outdoor games, crafts and face painting.
Festivities will run from 6pm to 7:30 at McKinley Park. Organizers encourage families to make an evening of it and bring a picnic dinner to enjoy along with the free ice cream. For more information, call (916) 264-2920.
