After the day’s parades and barbecues, then come the fireworks. And in Sacramento, the place where the fireworks shine brightest is Cal Expo. While they can be seen for quite a distance, the best place to see the fireworks display is at Cal Expo’s Miller Lite Grandstand.
Gates open at 6pm, with the fireworks beginning around 9:30pm. In-between, there will be live music, dancing and other family-friendly activities. Admission is free, and parking is $10. For more information, go to www.calexpo.ca.gov.
